Over 26 years of living and working in New York, I came to understand how small yet sustained actions and relationships can, over time, reconnect what once seemed
fragmented. This understanding grew through long-term engagement in efforts addressing social challenges at the community level.
My engagement with art and skateboarding cultures further shaped my perspective. I was drawn to their spirit of creative resistance—the instinct to move beyond existing systems, to invent new methods with one’s own hands, and to carve alternative pathways within society.
As a member of a broader community, I am less interested in correcting individuals than in shaping the conditions where change can emerge—where possibilities are not lost, and where people retain the freedom to choose.
With that stance, I continue to work through questions and practice.
What I enjoy:
Music, solitude and family time, cats, architecture, surfing, watching the NBA, and Enkū, Buddhist carvings.
